Preparation

Review the IndyPublish publication requirements to make sure your manuscript is eligible for submission.

Review the IndyPublish Publishing Agreement.
|
| 3. |
Edit and proofread your manuscript prior to submission.
|
| 4. |
Prepare your manuscript as a single word processing file according to the interior guidelines.
|
| 5. |
You may submit up to 10 graphics for you book's interior. Prepare your graphics (if any) according to the IndyPublish guidelines. |

Choose an interior Template.
|
| 7. |
Choose a cover template, background texture and color for your cover design.
|
| 8. |
You may supply one image of your own to place on the cover and you can submit this electronically or as a hard copy for IndyPublish to scan. |
| 9. |
Prepare your author photo for you book's back cover (optional). The author photo may be supplied as an electronic file or as hard copy.

| 10. |
Prepare the following summaries: |

Book Synopsis (Required): No more than 740 characters (with spaces), about 150 words.
A brief description of your book for the back cover of your book and for your book's webpage.
|

Brief Author Biography (Required): No more than 740 characters (with spaces), about 150 words.
A brief description of yourself for the back cover of your book and for your author's Homepage.
|
|
Authors Note (Required): No more than 40,000 characters.
A longer biography or a note to your readers for your book's webpage.
|
|
Dedication (Optional): No more than 2,050 characters (with spaces), about 400 words.
This will appear at the beginning of your book.

|
Up to 4 Published Reviews (Optional): These will appear on the back of your book.

| Submission |

Click on the "Publish My Book Now" button to start the submission process.
|
| 2. |
Once you fill out the online order form, we will provide you with a customized agreement which will itemize all of your selections.
|
| 3. |
If you are submitting by mail, print out the customized order form and agreement and include it with your submissions package. If you are submitting online, you will complete the submission process online and upload your files electronically.

| 4. |
Your mail submission package must include: |

A print out of the customized Order Form and Agreement
|
|
Payment (if any)
Check payable to IndyPublish.com OR your credit card number typed on your Order Form (Visa, MasterCard or American Express).

Labeled disk containing your:
- Manuscript
- Summary Information (dedication and reviews are optional)
- Graphics (if any)
- Author photo (if any)
|
|
Hard copy graphics (if any)
|
|
|
Please label the disk with the following information:
- Name
- E-mail Address
- Book Title
- Platform (PC or Mac)
- Application (Microsoft Word or Corel WordPerfect).

Please note: If you are submitting by mail we recommend that you use certified mail, UPS, Fedex or another carrier that allows tracking, in case your submission is lost in the mail.

| Approval Process |

Once we receive your completed submission, we will format and design your book's interior layout and cover.
|
| 2. |
Approximately 2 weeks after we receive your submission, we will send to you via e-mail an update of the status of your manuscript. Usually within four weeks, we will email to you a cover and interior proof and a corrections form. Please note, a hard copy of your proof is available from our Add-On Services menu for an extra fee.

| 3. |
You will then review the proof, complete the corrections form and submit it to IndyPublish via e-mail or fax. The Silver Publishing Package allows you to make up to 25 corrections. If necessary, you can purchase additional corrections from the Add-On Services menu. Your changes must be submitted within 30 days. |

We will input your corrections and re-send the proofs to you for your final review. You have another 30 days to review and approve the second proof.

| 5. |
Your final revisions (if any) will be made. We will then send you an e-mail with the final page count so that you can set the retail price of your book using the pricing/royalty calculator
|
| 6. |
Once we receive the retail price from you, within a few weeks, your book will available for sale in print and electronic forms. Within a few weeks, you will also receive the free paperback copy of your book!
